RAMP AGENT

The ramp agent provides necessary and required under-wing ground support services as contracted by the customer including but not limited to loading and unloading baggage and cargo, marshaling, water, and lavatory servicing.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Guiding inbound/outbound airplanes to and from the gate.
  • Lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting passenger bags and cargo to/from aircraft, bag carts, dollies, and conveyor belts.
  • Driving and/or operating ground support equipment, such as tow tractors, tow bars, belt loaders, container loaders, baggage tugs and more.
  • Maintaining safety and security on the ramp and practicing all safety policies and procedures.
  • Communicating efficiently with ground personnel and flight crews.
  • Maintaining an understanding of and following all applicable federal, state, airport, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Working with other departments to ensure on-time performance of flights.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Including but not limited to standing, lifting, bending, stooping, walking, crawling, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time.
  • Push, pull, lift, and load up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to read and interpret aircraft load sheets, and cargo labels.
  • Ability to understand and react to verbal and visual commands and safety warnings, with and without assistance of sight or visual aids.
  • Work outside in all types of weather and around aircraft and machinery noises.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possess/maintain a valid state driver’s license and other FAA/Airport required identification/seals or authorizations.
  • Must be able to pass a Security Threat Assessment administered by the PANYNJ and US Customs and Border Protection
  • Must be able to pass all initial training classes and exams.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to pass a 10-year background check, including criminal, employment, education, and personal references.
  • Able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English.
  • Possess basic computer literacy.
  • Previous ramp experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to work in inclement weather.
  • Flexible to work various shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays).

BAGROOM AGENT

The bag room agent will be providing necessary and required under-wing ground support services as contracted by the customer including but not limited to loading and unloading baggage and cargo, marshaling, water, and lavatory servicing.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Marshall aircraft during arrival and departure.
  • Unload passenger luggage and air cargo, bulk and/or containers/pallets, onto carts and/or dollies.
  • Unload wheelchairs and child strollers and deliver them to designated locations.
  • Provide special handling of luggage/cargo as required/directed.
  • Deliver passenger luggage to the claim area and unload it onto the conveyor system.
  • Deliver air cargo to the appropriate recipient.
  • Drive and/or operate ground support equipment to include tow tractors, tow bars, belt loaders, container
    loaders, baggage tugs, water/lavatory service trucks, aircraft ground power units, aircraft air start units, air stairs, aircraft de-icing units, baggage carts, cargo dollies, and passenger vans.
  • Collect and load mail, live animals, wheelchairs, and child strollers onto aircraft.
  • Service aircraft water and lavatories.
  • Inspect ramp areas adjacent to the gate and aircraft for debris and remove/dispose of it when found.
  • Report all equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor/manager.
  • Comply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority, and carrier security requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

GSE - GROUND SERVICE EQUIPMENT

The Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic B is responsible for properly completing preventive maintenance to gas and diesel-powered engines, hydraulic systems, and electric and air brake systems. The Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic plays a critical role in the continued success of the company’s and employees’ safety.

Qualifications:

Skills and Requirements

  • Must be able to meet and pass the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Port Authority, and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requirements which includes background checks and pre-employment drug screens.
  • Must be able to work safely in an environment containing chemicals, cleaning materials, dust, and noise.

LAV AND WATER

Providing necessary and required under-wing ground support services as contracted by the customer to

  • Cleaning Cargo Aircraft: must be highly detailed and specific to ensure all areas are completely free of
    dirt, debris, marks, etc.
  • Service aircraft water and lavatories; removal of waste from international flights.
  • Inspect ramp areas adjacent to the gate and aircraft for debris and remove/dispose of it when found.
  • Refilling aircraft with lavatory tank solution.
  • Comply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority, and carrier security requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSTAL CARGO AGENT

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Loading and unloading of cargo (mail, express, baggage, freight, and company material).
  • Facilitate the loading and unloading of cargo to and from trucks.
  • Check freight for proper piece count, weight, dimensions, and documents as appropriate when accepting or delivering cargo.
  • Break down cargo from import flights, sort as required, check freight against manifest, and store in proper
    manner and location in the warehouse.
  • Learn to Operate basic cargo handling equipment such as forklifts, aircraft pallets, and pallet jacks.
  • The receiving, delivering, and physical handling of freight.
  • Assisting in loading, unloading, and racking both filled and empty drums.
  • Maintain an understanding of and follow all applicable federal, state, airport, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Working with other departments to ensure on-time performance of flights.
  • Including but not limited to standing, lifting, bending, stooping, walking, crawling, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time.
  • Push, pull, lift, and load up to 50 pounds (25 kg) regularly.

CABIN CLEANER

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing the cabin for customer boarding and departure, which includes cleaning of
    seats, seat pockets, floor, galleys, and lavatories.
  • Checking, handling, assembling, removing, and installing passenger service cabin furnishings and supplies according to list specifics.
  • Cleaning must be highly detailed and specific to ensure all areas are completely free of dirt, debris, marks, etc.
  • Assist Ramp agents when Cabin Cleaning is complete.
  • Performs FOD walks in the ramp area between flights.
  • Marshal aircraft during arrival and departure.
  • Ensures necessary ground equipment is available in the ramp area and bag room for
    upcoming flights.
  • Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous materials
    identification labels, aircraft loading manifest, and baggage routing tags.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.

Work Schedule:

  • You will need to have the flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends,
    holidays, and overtime. We operate in a shift-bid environment.

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to be alerted to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment.
     Physical Demands/Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull and move items of 70 pounds and/or more regularly and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces.
  • Must be able to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work in cramped or high places.
  • Must be able to carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs.
ON-CALL SNOW REMOVAL (SEASONAL)

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Snowplow Operator to join our team for the winter season. As a Snowplow Operator, you will be primarily responsible for operating a snowplow attached to a pickup truck to clear snow and ice from roads, parking lots, and other designated areas.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Operate a snowplow attached to a pickup truck to clear snow from designated areas in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Safely maneuver the vehicle and plow equipment to effectively remove snow while adhering to established routes and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to snowfall, ensuring timely snow removal services.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on the plow equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate work schedules and address any issues or concerns.

  • Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks in a demanding outdoor environment.

    • Experience with basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
    • Familiarity with local roadways and snow removal routes.
